Highlights of the year include the celebrations marking the posthumous award of an MPhil in Anthropology to Mākereti Papakura and our ranking as the top university in the QS World University Rankings for Anthropology but it is the richness of life here in the school that we reflect on in this annual newsletter.

It may only be a snapshot of the research, events and activities that go on around us every day, but it is a testament to the hard work, energy and imagination at the School.

I would like to begin by congratulating all our students, especially those completing their studies with us. All of us here at SAME wish you every success for the future.
