With a background in archaeology and anthropology, I have spent over a decade contributing to the Seshat Global History Databank. This has mostly involved researching the rituals and religious culture of hundreds of polities across time and space, from India under the Rashtrakuta Dynasty, to Viking Iceland, to the golden age of the Swahili Coast city-states, to the Inca Empire. I have mostly carried out this work within the context of the University of Oxford School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, but also The Alan Turing Institute, but also the University of Hertfordshire and the University of Exeter.
