Michal Misiak is a psychologist working as a postdoctoral researcher at the IDN Being Human, University of Wroclaw (PL). He conducts research on issues related to human morality, specifically focusing on cooperation and conflict. During his doctoral studies at the University of Wroclaw, he conducted a series of studies on moral judgements regarding food-wasting behaviour and their impact on the way we handle food. He is currently embarking on a new project to investigate the role of taboos in shaping cooperation. His work is often conducted among non-industrial populations, such as the Hadza and Datoga of Tanzania and the Yali of New Guinea. Michal is a strong supporter of Open Science and the Big Team Science movement.
