João d’Oliveira Coelho is a paleoanthropologist based at Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique. He holds a DPhil in Anthropology from the University of Oxford, where his research centred on automated geospatial search for fossil sites in eastern Africa and paleoenvironments reconstruction using satellite imagery. João is the founder of Osteomics, a platform dedicated to developing web applications for biological anthropology. He has extensive fieldwork experience in Mozambique and at Lake Turkana, Kenya.
