I am a Research Affiliate at ICEA. My expertise as a field-based primatologist has allowed me to study chimpanzees, baboons, macaques, capuchin monkeys and tamarins in West and East Africa, South-East Asia and South-America. My research focuses in particular on lithic and plant-based material cultures of non-human primates. I am especially interested in reconstructing behaviour via in-situ measurements of abandoned tools and the raw materials used to manufacture them. This approach has significant relevance for our interpretation of archaeological sites, given the absence of direct observations on early hominins.
