Departmental Lecturer in Visual, Material and Museum Anthropology
I am an economic, visual and material anthropologist, looking at housing, inequality and property relations in the UK. My research focuses on second homes and investment properties in London, as well as poor-quality, energy-vulnerable homes across London and Durham.
I teach on the VMMA course, specifically on the key debates within visual anthropology and a range of methods-based workshops where my students and I critically explore new methods that could generate ethnographic and political understandings.
