Postdoctoral Affiliate
Dr Irmelin Joelsson is an urban anthropologist with a particular interest in the materialisation of emerging financial infrastructures in East Africa. She holds a DPhil degree from University of Oxford where she is currently engaged in the PEAK Urban project and as a tutorial teaching fellow in the Human Sciences progamme. Prior to her preoccupations in Oxford, Irmelin worked as a researcher and adjunct lecturer at Stockholm University, Department of Human Geography, and as a curator within contemporary art and architecture.
From October 1, 2022, Irmelin will join Norwegian University of Science and Technology as postdoctoral fellow in organisational anthropology and sustainability research, working with Professor Knut Christian Myhre (DPhil Oxford 2003).
