Dynamics of large-scale ecological restoration: Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique

Please join us using this link: https://youtu.be/DT9M5fpFvoA

After nearly being eliminated during Mozambique's long civil war, the large mammals of Goronogosa National Park have rebounded dramatically in the past decade, thanks to an innovative conservation partnership. Many ecological legacies of this conflict remain, but some are already being erased. This talk is about lessons learned from Gorongosa about how African savannas work, how their species interact, and how ecological communities reassemble after being pushed to the brink.
