Publication of 'Ritual, Play and Belief in Evolution and Early Human Societies', co-edited by Iain Morley

The winter solstice saw the publication of Iain Morley's latest book, Ritual, Play and Belief in Evolution and Early Human Societies, edited with Colin Renfrew and Michael Boyd, and featuring three chapters by Iain. The book examines fundamental relationships between ritual practices and play behaviours in humans and animals. It is the final product of a long-term collaboration with colleagues in Cambridge University, examining the early evidence for ritual and religion in prehistory and evolution.
