It is with great sadness that we inform friends and colleagues of the death of Professor Geoffrey Ainsworth Harrison who died peacefully on 14 September 2017. Professor Harrison was Emeritus Professor of Biological Anthropology at the University of Oxford and served as President of the Royal Anthropological Institute from 1969 to 1970. Geoffrey was instrumental in the founding of the Human Sciences degree and a passionate supporter of it.
The funeral will be held at 3pm on Monday 2 October at Christ Church Cathedral.
