The School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography (SAME), in association with St Cross College, seek to appoint an inspirational teacher and accomplished research scholar to an Associate Professorship in Medical Anthropology. Applications are welcomed from outstanding candidates with teaching experience and a strong research background in Medical Anthropology, and experience of ethnographic fieldwork.

The postholder will primarily provide teaching and supervision for the Medical Anthropology MSc and MPhil programmes, and will be expected to supervise DPhil students. The postholder will also be expected to contribute administratively to the School.  The appointee will be a Governing Body Fellow of St Cross College.

Appointments to Associate Professorships are confirmed as permanent on successful completion of a review during the first 5 years. Any offer made will be subject to pre-employment checks.

The post is offered on a full-time basis, available from Michaelmas Term 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
