On Tuesday 10 December, David Gellner gave a talk on 'MN Srinivas and Oxford' at the Bangalore International Centre, Bangalore, India, outlining the importance of Srinivas's anthropological formation under Radcliffe-Brown and Evans-Pritchard in Oxford to his subsequent career as the founder of modern social anthropology (or sociology, as it is called there) in India.
