Applications are invited for a part-time Departmental Lecturer in Palaeoanthropology post effective for 12 months from mid-September 2017. The post is 18.75 hours per week (50%) based at the Institute of Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology, School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, Oxford. The role is needed for a limited time to provide cover for the teaching and administrative commitments of Dr Susana Carvalho who holds a Leverhulme Prize for this period.

The School is seeking an inspirational teacher with both breadth and depth of knowledge of the key subject area of the post and a full command of the relevant literature. You will teach, examine and supervise both undergraduates and graduate students in Evolutionary Anthropology and Primatology.

You will possess a doctorate in Biological Anthropology, Palaeoanthropology or Primatology and you will have the capacity to publish in international journals and with major presses be familiar. You will also be familiar with the hominin fossil record, have excellent interpersonal and administrative skills.
